In recent years, JKA has announced to contribute in the total amount of 100 million yen to the businesses or activities that are working on the measures to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus. In addition, cyclists individually donated part of their prize money to the disaster-stricken regions or the medical facilities. They have a high awareness of contributing to society.
Contribution to cycling sports
The revenues raised by KEIRIN are also used for promoting cycling sports. They provide financial support to the Izu Velodrome for the venue’s setting-up for the Tokyo Olympics, in which the track cycling events are held. It’s also part of their assistant project.
Their financial support is not only for the track cycling sport, which is closely related to keirin, but also for the road racing or Japan Intercollegiate Cycling Federation (J.I.C.F). Here is part of their assistant projects in 2019.
